Thank you for this information. I paid $29 for a two-year subscription for Kaspersky, included with the price of my new laptop. Now I’m supposed to renew for $79.99, and it’s not even clear if that’s for one year or two. I suspected it might be cheaper to buy a new Kaspersky subscription than to renew, and you have confirmed that this company is living DOWN to expectations. Shame!

Hi, Cher. You’re welcome for the info. You’re much better off buying a new Kaspersky subscription through Amazon. I’ve found one year for one device for less than $10.00 a year. If I had renewed, GeekSquad (Best Buy) would have made a killing. It wouldn’t have been Kaspersky. All that you’ll have to do is enter the new key code. It’s very easy to do, and without a disc or the removal or re-installation of anything.

Same experience for me. Half price in the UK to let existing subscription expire then uninstall, buy new license and reinstall with new license code. Terrible business practice by Kaspersky, also very irritating that when you write to Kaspersky, if it’s anything to do with billion or renewal they just tell you to contact Digital River. Clearly they outsource billing but I am buying Kaspersky so have no interest in dealing with two separate companies. Our relationship will be ending soon!

Well, since I don’t know the price at your place, I can’t tell exactly.. But I have seen that sometimes buying new one is cheaper than renewing.. I had done it once some time back
