Do you want an easy way to keep bugs off of picnic food? They can ruin the meal, but I found a great way to keep flies and bees away. It’s completely natural way to keep insects away while eating outdoors. They’ll have to go elsewhere for a meal. I wouldn’t even attempt to eat outside without some sort of protection. It’s bad enough that flying insects invade nearby trash. Who knows where they’ve been before landing on your plate? I’ve been thinking about ways to stop flies from landing on food. After all, picnic season is here. I don’t want to spend my time outdoors swatting bugs away.
What Are the Brown Spots that Flies Leave Behind?
Before telling you what I found, let’s play a quick trivia game. You know the brown spots that flies deposit here, there, and everywhere? They’re not chocolate. They’re not tobacco either. They’re really disgusting! Care to guess? Okay, I don’t know whether or not you’ve guessed correctly anyway. What are the brown spots flies leave? Are you ready for this? It’s poop! That’s right. It’s fly feces! They don’t care where they do it. Why would they? They’re flies.
Warning: Info Might Be Too Disgusting for Sensitive People –
Here’s another lovely thought. Maybe the fly spent time at the dog park before landing on the potato salad. That alone is a good reason to seek and use an easy way to keep bugs off of picnic food. Besides eating all of the same things that we eat, they dine on feces, dead and decaying roadkill, vomit, and all sorts of vile things. They eat and poop over and over again. They poop on food. Nice, huh?
Now that I’ve sickened myself while painting an ugly picture in your mind, it’s time to seriously think about ways to protect outdoor food from flies and other bugs. I’m not willing to ignore the problem. I’m not going to stop having picnics either. Effective options are available. If I don’t use them, I have no one to blame but myself. Flies and bees won’t stay away. They’re going to do what they do. It’s up to me to keep the food protected from pests.
