Make Litter Box Scooping Easier with Bad Knees

Need to know how to make litter box scooping easier with bad knees? It’s bad enough when your lower back hurts. Having a condition that causes painful joints and muscles makes tasks that others take for granted nearly impossible. If you have sore joints and a bad back, cleaning up after the cat is excruciating. The pan can stay on the floor where it belongs. You don’t have to move it to another location or raise it up on a platform. What you need is a tool to make scooping the litter box easier.

Squatting with Painful Knees –

Squatting is the worst when you have a painful knee or back condition. It’s especially difficult to get up again after squatting or kneeling for any length of time. Because of the pain I have to hold my breathe and pull myself back up with my arms. Standing on your head to scoop a litter box is uncomfortable too. I had neck surgery and can’t do that either. If only the handler were longer and sturdier people wouldn’t have to bend or squat! They’d simply scoop the clumps into a small plastic-lined wastepaper basket, tie it up, and toss it out.

Do They Make Cat Litter Scoops with Long Handles?

You won’t find long-handled cat litter scoops at your local discount store. It’s hard to find a sturdy one let alone a cat litter scoop with an extra long handle. They are available online, and they work exceptionally well. People with back problems and knee pain can easily scoop their cat’s box.

It makes it a whole lot easier!

It’s a long-handled cat litter scoop for people who can’t bend or squat. It makes easy work of scooping the pan on a daily basis. Let it go just a few days and your house will stink. You might not notice, but others will. I notice after stepping outside and coming back in. The smell is a reminder. I’ve also found feces on the floor just outside of the litter box. What a surprise!

Actually, it could be even easier if you have trouble bending, stooping, or squatting. I’d rather not have to scoop it at all. It seems I just do it and it needs to be done again. I wish the cats would just use the toilet, but they’re not trained to do that. It is much easier with a self-cleaning cat litter box because it removes the clumps automatically. No, they’re not cheap, but ScoopFree brand works surprisingly well. I’d love to get one someday, but until then I’ll use a long-handled scoop.

It’s a Way to Make Litter Box Scooping Easier with Bad Knees –

Now that you have a way to make litter box scooping easier with bad knees, you won’t have an excuse for not cleaning the box. It must be done every day and even more often if you have two or more cats.

Only two things could be better than a No Stoop long-handled cat litter scoop. The first is a self-cleaning cat litter box. Whoever invented it either had bad knees, a bad back, they hated scooping, or all of the above.

The second thing that could be better than a long-handled scoop is a self-scooping kitty that likes to help out! I won’t count on that happening, but that’s okay. Cats earn their keep by providing company, cuteness, and unconditional love. The least we can do is keep their pan clean.
